Legal action taken in Kasoa shrinking penis case: one jailed, fines imposed, compensation ordered

A man in Awutu Breku has been sentenced to four months in prison for his involvement in a violent attack on a student.

The man, Zakaria Zulkani, conspired with two others, Seidu Abdul Nasir and Innusah Musah, to assault Abdul Suleman, a student falsely accused of shrinking a tricycle rider’s penis.

The incident occurred when Suleman boarded Zulkani’s tricycle, and Zulkani accused him of causing his penis to shrink. Zulkani then called Nasir and Musah, who proceeded to assault Suleman without any provocation. Fortunately, the Central East Police Patrol Team intervened, rescuing Suleman and taking both parties to the Millennium City Police station.

Zulkani was later examined at the Kasoa Polyclinic, where it was determined that his penis was normal and stable, contradicting his claims. As a result, Zulkani was sentenced to prison and ordered to pay fines for publication of false news and deceiving a public officer.

Nasir and Musah, while also facing charges, showed remorse in court and were cautioned and discharged or ordered to pay fines and compensate the victim.
