John Setor Dumelo, an actor and businessman, has expressed his desire to enter Ghana’s legislature.
The actor, who previously competed for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Member of Parliament seat on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) platform, plans to run again.
This time, with much optimism and effort.
When questioned about his major motivation for running for parliament, John Dumelo stated during a Q&A session on X that he wants to be a part of the country’s decision-making body.
Dumelo stated that being in such a position will allow him to positively touch the lives of his constituents and Ghanaians as a whole.
“To be part of the decision-making processes that will affect our lives positively as Ghanaians and also to represent my Ayawaso West people,” he said in a Facebook post.
In terms of winning the next elections, the actor stated that he will take advantage of the current MP, Ms. Lydia Alhassan’s vulnerability.
“I don’t feel nervous. I learned from my failures in 2020, and I want to use her vulnerability as a strength to win this election. Her vulnerability is that she has more resources than I do.
