The head of the New Force Movement, Ghanaian businessman Nana Kwame Bediako, often known as Cheddar, has disclosed intentions to enter the English football league.

The independent presidential contender has his sights set on acquiring one of the two venerable English Premier League clubs, Chelsea FC or Manchester United.

In a recent interview that aired on Nhyira FM, Bediako discussed football in Ghana and shared his vision for the game, which he connected to his larger objectives of African empowerment.

His goals go beyond owning a football team; they also include showcasing the strength and impact of Africans on the international scene.

Bediako emphasized that he wanted to rebuild the infrastructure of African football and invest a lot of money in English football.

He declared that the core of his plan is to create an African Champions League that is modeled after the prestigious competition in Europe.

In order to establish African domestic leagues as formidable competitors on the global stage, he is an advocate for their growth.

“As I sit here, I aim to gather enough money to buy Manchester United or Chelsea at the public’s blind side, proving to the white guy that black men are just as powerful as white people.

“I would like to invest and have an African Champions League just like what pertains in Europe,” he said.

He emphasized a future where African talent thrives and acknowledged the need for stronger African leagues to enable more equitable player remuneration and do away with the necessity for shady transactions.
