Ghana’s quest for a medal in the beach volleyball competition comes to an end on Wednesday following their loss at Laboma Beach.
Ghana won all four of their competition matches, advancing them to the men’s quarterfinals.
Gaining victories over Senegal (2-0), Benin (2-0), and Togo (2-1) guaranteed a straightforward route to the competition’s round of sixteen.
Ghana advanced to the quarterfinals with a 2-1 victory over Algeria on Tuesday. But in a one-sided quarterfinal match, Ghana was unable to match Morocco’s passion.
Mozambique defeated Ghana in the women’s match after winning (two) straight sets.
From the beginning to the end, Ghana found it difficult to handle the intensity of the top-ranked squad in Africa.
