Frente al Destino actress Mayte Carol passed away at the of 82 on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in Mexico. She had been hospitalized on March 5, due to respiratory issues.
She was first admitted to the hospital on January 3, 2024, and was put in intensive care. She died peacefully surrounded by her family.
Mayte Carol began acting at a young age. She also acted in theatre with Abrázame muy fuerte (2018). Her two last projects were La boda de mi mejor amigo and La Rosa de Guadalupe.
She lived in New York and Buenos Aires for some time before returning to Mexico, taking part in the play Mi nuevo paciente (2017) afterwards.
Mayte Carol was born on October 13, 1941, in Mexico City. She graduated from the National Institute of Fine Arts.
Mayte Carol was married to Miguel Palmer, with whom she had a daughter. Their marriage lasted 8 years. Carol also had a son, from another marriage.
