For the first time, Ghana is hosting the 13th African Games here in Accra Ghana. The games were supposed to take place last year 2023, but due to some minor reasons, it is now held in the year 2024.
The Tournament just started yesterday Friday, March 8, 2024, and will end on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

49 African nations are confirmed to be participating in the Tournament and five African nations did not honor the invitations. Due to the 49 countries competing in this year’s games, it is an actual pan-African sporting event. The games, formerly called the All-African Games, are held every four years, the year before the Olympics.
The Accra Sports Stadium, Borteyman Sports Complex, the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium, the Achimota Cricket Oval, and the University of Ghana Stadium are where all the games will be hosted.
Some of the games are badminton, handball, table tennis, athletics, swimming, boxing, cycling, wrestling, and many others.
