Some Ghana showbiz industry players have rallied behind one of their own, John Bredu Peasah aka Drogba, after the YOLO star came out to solicit financial support from Ghanaians.
Drogba was in the news early Friday, March 8, after he took to social media to share his health issues, disclosing that he has been diagnosed with demyelinating disease.
Demyelinating disease is a condition that causes damage to the protective covering (myelin sheath) that surrounds nerve fibres in your brain, the nerves leading to the eyes (optic nerves) and the spinal cord.
He revealed in an Instagram post Friday that he has been living with demyelinating for the past two and a half years. He said he needs financial support to continue his treatment.
After he shared his story, fellow industry players and actors took to their various Instagram pages to repost his banner, containing mobile money and bank account details where all financial donations can be directed.
Among the celebrities who garnered support for Drogba are actors Ahuofe Patricia, Kisa Gbekle, Lawyer Ntim, Biamark the Joke, and musician Captain Planet of 4×4 fame.
