The final moments of late Ejisu Member of Parliament (MP) and Deputy Finance Minister John Kumah have been described by his spokesperson.
The spokesperson, Bismark Owusu Twumasi, revealed that Dr. Kumah was anticipated to attend the 67th Independence Day celebration in an interview with Joy News.
Regretfully, his health prevented him from attending.
Mr. Twumasi clarified that one of his doctors in Accra was contacted and sent to Ejisu because of the urgency of the issue.
He said, “The doctor stayed with him all night and gave him medication.”
He stated that steps were taken to transport the late Deputy Finance Minister to Accra so that additional plans could be made for his medical treatment in Germany.
According to his spokesperson, “Unfortunately, he was not fit enout to board the plane, so we decided to bring an ambulance to take him to Accra.”
Notwithstanding the desperate attempts, Dr. Kumah claimed that throughout their journey, his condition worsened and they were forced to stop at the Suhum Government Hospital, where he sadly passed away.
His unexpected passing has shocked and saddened Ghanaians as a whole as well as his constituency and party members.
