In defiance of established sanitary guidelines, more than twenty store owners have been taken into custody and are likely to go on trial.

According to Anita Love Obo Amissah, the Municipal Chief Executive for Awutu Senya East, this is in keeping with her resolute efforts to resolve the persistent problem of filth in front of Kasoa Zongo stores.

As a result of the shop owners’ neglect to clear the gutters in front of their establishments, which has led to unhygienic conditions in the vicinity, she gave the Municipal Environmental Officer orders to arrest and prosecute over twenty of them.

During an exercise in cleanup, MCE Anita Love Obo Amissah spoke with Adom News and made clear that she would not tolerate anyone failing to follow sanitary laws.

She emphasized that such uncooperative conduct will not be accepted, particularly in relation to public health issues.

Madam Obo Amissah urged the people of Kasoa to be patriotic and get involved in the fight against sanitation problems, stressing that everyone must do their share to maintain a clean and hygienic town.
