Thomas Kingston, the husband of Lady Gabriella Windsor, sadly passed away at the age of 45.
The British financier, who married the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent in 2019, was well-known in London as “the most eligible man” and had previously been in a relationship with Pippa Middleton in 2011.
Mr. Kingston had a background in finance, working in frontier market investment as the director of Devonport Capital.
He held a bachelor’s degree in economic history from the University of Bristol and had experience working with the United Kingdom’s Foreign Office in Baghdad as a project officer for the Iraqi Institute of Peace.
After his government work, Mr. Kingston transitioned into finance, serving as an equity analyst for Schroders and later as the managing director of Voltan Capital Management. In September 2018, he announced his engagement to Lady Gabriella Windsor.
On February 25, 2024, Thomas Kingston tragically passed away. An inquest into his death revealed that he died from a traumatic head wound and was found with a gun near his body.
The senior coroner confirmed that the death was not suspicious. Tributes have poured in for Mr. Kingston, with King Charles and Camilla expressing their heartfelt condolences to Lady Gabriella and the Kingston family.
Thomas Kingston’s wife, Lady Gabriella, is the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent. At birth, she was 18th in line to the throne, but is now 56th in line. The couple did not have any children.
The Palace spokesperson shared a message on behalf of the family, stating that Thomas Kingston was a beloved husband, son, and brother, whose passing has brought great sorrow to all who knew him. They have requested privacy as they mourn his death.
