Israel Ticona tragically passed away in a car crash on the night of February 28, 2024, in Santa Cruz.
According to the report, the accident was caused by a road blockade. Ticona was en route to Cuatro Canadas to negotiate the resolution of the blockade when his van collided with a truck stopped by the roadblock.
Israel Ticona’s body was transported by helicopter to the capital of Santa Cruz and later taken to the Pampa de la Isla morgue, where an autopsy was performed and it was learned that the cause of his death was due to a traumatic brain injury, according to reports.
The flight departed from the FAB 18 Air Hunting Group at El Trompillo Airport and is expected to arrive, after 5:00 p.m., at the 31st Air Hunting Group Air Brigade in El Alto. Afterward, the remains will be taken to the Government Headquarters to be laid to rest.
