According to Okyeame Kwame, a musician from Ghana, he is not a part of Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia’s Manifesto Committee.

He made it clear that he had no political affiliation with the New Patriotic Party, which is currently in power (NPP).

Okyeame Kwame stated in a press statement dated February 24, 2024, that he has not been compensated for his alleged membership in the committee.

“I want to reassure my followers that I remain impartial and uninvolved in politics, a stance I’ve upheld throughout my career. I have neither received compensation nor formal invitation from H.E. The Vice President’s campaign team to participate in the arts and tourism manifesto committee,” he clarified.

He said that he would be happy to share his understanding of the creative business with any political party that was interested in doing so.

Of the fifteen individuals announced as members of the NPP Manifesto Committee for tourism, arts, and culture, Okyeame Kwame is one.

Actor Prince David Osei, Dr. Ama Boafo-Arthur, Prof. Issahatu Adam, Claudia Lumor, the originator of the Glitz Style Awards, and former minister of tourism, arts, and culture Catherine Abelema Afeku are among the other members.

Okyeame Kwame thanked Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia for his consideration, but he also reiterated his dedication to professionalism and devotion to Ghana.
