Alhassan Mustapha, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Organizer for Manhyia South, was set free on bond after the police listed him as sought.
This comes after accusations about his recent behavior.
Due to his harsh words in a widely shared video, Mustapha was charged with both making threats of death and offensive conduct conducive to a breach of peace.
Mustapha confronted and threatened to use violence against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the video if they attempted to meddle in the polls.
The arrest was brought about by worries that the video would spark unrest during the elections in December.
Mustapha, however, is now free to await additional court hearings without being detained thanks to the police granting him bail.
Despite the accusations, Mustapha has done nothing wrong, according to Augustus Nana Kwasi, the NDC’s Ashanti Regional Chairman.
