Sexual nuisance in the creative industry and the movie industry as a whole has, however, been a matter of concern to many in the same field and in general.
Many stories are told of some women and beautiful ladies in the industry who have had to surrender to sexual demands from some men of influence in the space to be employed for specific roles and tasks.
However, a recent and touching story shared by actress Akofa Edjeani has stimulated new dialogue on the topic. Akofa, on the other hand, said on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z that she lost a movie role because she refused to sleep with a film director. Apparently and not a good one, as noted by her.
In addition, after the show, another actress, whose name was withheld, shared her story with the production team. However, according to her, a friend who attends the same church as him introduced her to a movie producer.
She said the man liked her instantly and asked her to come over to his office for an audition the next day.
What happened next is synonymous with and seemed like the aforementioned, with a lot of stories that have been told about sexual exploitation in Ghanaian entertainment. However, she made more stark revelations about the dark side of the industry.
