Famous Nigerian Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, recently expressed misgivings about his career decision, which set off a chain reaction of rumors.
The “Assurance” hitmaker questioned whether pursuing a music career was the appropriate choice in light of football players’ opulent lifestyles on his official Twitter account.
“Football players have fun, too. Act like though I made a bad career decision. “Bruhhhhhhh,” Davido bemoaned in the widely shared tweet, expressing his love for the lavish lifestyles enjoyed by well-known football players.
The post was made soon after Davido apparently started to consider his own professional choice after learning about the enormous money accumulated by football legends like Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to Nigeria’s Daily Post, Atletico Madrid forward Memphis Depay recently gave Davido a multi-million naira Rolex wristwatch, which is testament to the glamour of sport.
