At the Adjiriganor AstroTurf in Accra, Raphael Dwamena’s final funeral ceremony is presently in progress.

Many people from the Ghanaian football world and other circles have come to say goodbye to the former Black Stars forward and the Dwamena family.

Kurt Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), and other members of the Executive Council were present.

The family is being supported in their grief by Augustine Ahinful, Sulley Muntari, Haminu Dramani, Kwadwo Asamoah, Jerry Akaminko, and other former players.

The terrible event that resulted in Dwamena’s death happened on November 11 when the 28-year-old fell during an Albanian league game between Partizan and Egnatia, his squad.

The former striker for UD Levante did not make it through medical attention given to him quickly.

This tragic turn of events emphasizes the questions that have been raised regarding Dwamena’s health since 2017 when he showed signs of cardiac problems during a medical check that was required to move to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.
