Social media users learned of the tragic passing of well-known Ghanaian fashion designer Pokua Poku when they woke up.
The 42-year-old owner of “Poqua Poku Mouhtiseb” was reported to have passed away at the Lister Hospital in Accra, Ghana, on February 14, 2024, a few hours after giving birth.
Celebrities as well as online users have expressed their sympathies and admiration for the ambitious and rapidly developing designer.
Afia Akoto of the NPP has also posted a tribute to the departed fashion designer.
Pokua leaves behind three kids and a husband. She had previously attended Kwame Nkrumah University (KNUST) and Achimota Senior High School.
She created the upscale fashion label “Poqua Poqu” at some point in 2011, and she has styled several celebrities from Ghana.
Pokua’s workmanship has been displayed on the runways of various fashion shows in the nation, including Ghana’s Most Beautiful and Glitz African Fashion Week.
