The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, possesses ideas, policies, and a leadership style that Bernard Allotey Jacobs, a former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, claims is the only way to save Ghana.
Referring to Dr. Bawumia’s policies and ideas as “Bawumialogy” a term he coined and emphasizing that Ghanaians ought to set aside some time to examine and value the Vice President’s visions, which were revealed by the NPP flagbearer on February 7 at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
“We need to call Dr. Bawumia’s concept “Bawumialogy,” he stated in an interview with Peace FM. Dr. Bawumia’s 70 points are essential for us to ponder over, apply to our daily lives, and remember as we strive toward Ghana’s national advancement.
“For me, I believe these UPSA visions have made Bawumia an alpha male politician in this country.”
A week ago, the Vice President announced certain measures he would take to improve Ghana’s situation in his speech to the people.
The elimination of the Electronic Transaction Levy, the establishment of a flat tax regime for tax collection, and the formalization, regularization, and regulation of environmentally sustainable small-scale mining are a few of the measures that will be implemented.
The Vice President pointed out that while a flat tax system will increase the tax base and relieve pressure on GRA employees to collect money from current taxpayers, the removal of the levy will support the government’s goal of a cashless economy.
