A few weeks ago, an elderly man accused Kumawood actress Borga Silvia and her mother of defrauding him of enormous quantities of money, and as a result, he hauled them to Auntie Naa’s show.
The individual claims that he was defrauded of 25,000 Australian dollars on the pretense of a fictitious marriage contract to help him obtain permanent residency in Australia.
According to the old man who appeared on Aunty Naa’s show, in 2004 he wanted to move his wife and children overseas to join him, so he paid Borga Silvia and her mother 25,000 Australian dollars.
After making the payment, he set up a fictitious marriage ceremony with Borga Silvia, and the two of them snapped pictures on the big day to prove to the Australian Embassy that he was indeed married.
Borga Silvia had consented to be his lawfully wedded wife until he received his paperwork, so after the wedding, he decided to travel back to Ghana and spend a few months with his family.
However, Silvia informed him she was no longer interested in the marriage and requested an annulment when he returned to Ghana. He was therefore requesting that they return his money to him plus interest.
According to the most recent information, Borga Silvia and her mother have decided to cover the cost.
