Miguel Valor Peidró was well-known as a Spanish insurance agent and politician. A member of the People’s Party of the Valencian Community, he served in the Corts Valencianes from 1991 to 1995 and was Mayor of Alicante from January to June 2015. He died in Alicante on 11 February 2024, at the age of 79.

Miguel Valor Peidró was born in Alcoy in 1949, he developed the bulk of his political career in Alicante, where he was mayor, from January to June 2015, after the resignation of Sonia Castedo. Since the 90s he had been part of the local corporations of Alicante, where he alternated his position with that of provincial deputy in charge of Culture.
Before 1995, he was also in the Alicante Provincial Council, but on the opposition benches. With the beginning of democracy he was a UCD councilor in the Alcoy City Council and later in some municipalities of l’Alcoià to obtain his record in the Alicante Provincial Council.
