The Super Eagles of Nigeria were praised by President Bola Tinubu for their resilient performance in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final in Côte d’Ivoire.
President Tinubu acknowledged the challenges the team continuously overcame with progressively better performance as they advanced to the finals.
He praised the team, the coach, the crew, and the entire management team for their diligence, sacrifice, and hard work to go this far in the tournament.
The President greeted Nigerians with optimism, highlighting that our tenacity, discipline, and will on the field of play earned us a tremendous win in the eyes of Africa and the rest of the world.
In a statement released by Ajuri Ngelale, his Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, President Tinubu stated, “Let this passing event not dishearten us, but unite us to work harder.”
