Veteran politician Daryl Kramp, former Hastings-Lennox and Addington MPP has sadly passed away.

In a condolence message, Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison says, “He was passionate for his riding and the region. Daryl was a kind and loving man. He cared for all people who lived in this area.”
MPP Todd Smith served alongside Kramp for years. “One of the friendliest people you would ever meet. People laughed and loved him. Daryl, Carol Ann, and the entire family have always been incredibly hospitable people. If you were at their house, the Two Loons Restaurant, or at a political function, Daryl was so warm and welcoming. He made such a great impact in politics and life.”
MP Ryan Williams, “Daryl was a family man, who put faith and family first. I remember him first from his time in hospitality. He always mentioned his staff first and foremost. The entire Kramp family was so tremendous.” Williams continued, “His riding, his community meant so much to him. He was so proud of his family. To see his daughter (Shelby) as a Member of Parliament was something that made him so proud. That being said, you could tell he was so proud of his entire family.”
Daryl Kramp is survived by his wife Carol Ann, children Kari Layne, Taryl, and Shelby, along numerous grandchildren.
