A fight between a herdsman and a farmer in Seripe, an agricultural town in the Bole area of the Savannah region, resulted in the farmer suffering serious cutlass wounds.

The victim’s farm producing yam and cassava was devastated by the herdsman’s livestock, which led to the event.

This led to an altercation between the two men during which the herdsman is said to have given the farmer cutlass wounds.

The victim’s nephew, Kwabena Jeremaih, informed Rebecca Natomah of Adom News that he got a distress call from another farmer detailing his uncle’s attack.

His uncle was hurt and unconscious when he arrived at the farm. He immediately transported him to the Bole district hospital for treatment.

After he came to, the victim told the authorities who had attacked him, which led to the attacker’s arrest.

Subsequently, Jeremaih has made a plea to the authorities and regional leaders to step in and resolve the continuous conflicts between Fulani herders and local farmers.

The defendant will appear before the Bole district Magistrate court tomorrow, while the victim continues to get care at the Bole district hospital.
