Paulini Curuenavuli

Paulini Curuenavuli is an Australian vocalist who rose to prominence on the reality show Australian Idol. She was born in Fiji on October 15, 1982.

She relocated to Australia with her family when she was four years old. Her siblings are Seieima and Litia Curuenavuli. Her eldest brother died in a robbery incident at the early stages of her life.

She had her education at Bankstown Girls High. Her talent led her to compete in the school’s talent show ‘Starstruck’ which she later won. After the show, Paulini recorded “When You Believe” for the program’s CD.

She really rose to in 2003 on the inaugural season of Australian Idol where she finished fourth. Paulini then signed with Sony BMG Australia and released her debut studio album One Determined Heart (2004), which debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified platinum.

The album featured the platinum song “Angel Eyes,” which spent three weeks at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart. Paulini got two ARIA No. 1 Chart Awards, one for the album and one for the song.

Paulini later found commercial success as a member of the Australian girl group Young Divas. Young Divas (2006) and New Attitude (2007) were both top-ten albums for the trio, as were three top-fifteen singles, including the massively hit “This Time I Know It’s for Real.”

Aside from songwriting, Paulini continues to release singles on her own till this day.
