You’ll remain poor if paid for service to God—Pastor Ibiyeomie

Salvation Ministries pastor David Ibiyeomie has cautioned his flock that receiving payment for their services will not lift them out of poverty.

According to Ibiyeomie, their blessings end the moment they receive payment for their service to God. The claims are made in a video that was spotted on Wednesday and is making the rounds on the internet.

The clergyman informed his congregation that they would be blessed by serving God, citing a biblical passage in support of his claim.

“You are providing a service by banging drums, and they are paying you for it, regardless of where you are in the world. You will never be able to escape poverty, I can assure you, “as long as you continue to use your talents for His glory and trust in His provision.” he exclaimed.

“The Lord, your God, shall bless your bread and water when you serve him. Therefore, the rewards end the instant you serve God and get paid.

He says that heeding, keeping God’s commands, and properly honoring oneself for service elevates a person.
