Calhoun, Georgia is the birthplace of McCartney Kessler, who graduated from Calhoun High School on July 8, 1999. At the University of Central Florida, her parents, Carl Kessler and Julie Diggers, competed as collegiate tennis players.
Kessler became a member of the Florida Gators collegiate tennis team in November 2017 after deciding to pursue her love for tennis and enroll at the University of Florida on a scholarship.
