Following Afua Asantewaa of Ghana’s attempt to shatter the record for the longest singing marathon by a single person, Guinness World Records has finally responded.
Afua’s evidence has been examined by Guinness World Records, who say they will soon make the results public.
The comment made on a TikTok post announcing the record holder by user cute_gyebuaxx prompted Guinness World Records to release this statement.
Please, there was this girl in Ghana who performed a singing marathon, according to the TikTok comment. Since we’ve been waiting, would you kindly say something about it?
The World Record responded, “We’ve been reviewing Afua’s evidence and will be letting her know the results soon.”
On December 29, 2023, Afua Asantewaa completed her Guinness World Records attempt to break the record for the longest individual singing marathon.
Asantewaa sang for 126 hours and 52 minutes, breaking the previous record of 105 hours set by an Indian, Sunil Waghmare, in 2012.
On January 6, 2024, the event organizer sent evidence of her singing attempt to Guinness World Records.
