US actor of German descent, Christian Oliver, along with his daughters Annik and Madita Klepser, were killed by a pilot off the coast of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

With his two daughters by his side, American actor of German descent Christian Oliver lost his life in a plane crash off the coast of a Caribbean island on Thursday. Oliver worked for 30 years as an actor in films with Tom Cruise and George Clooney.
Authorities say that at about 12:10 p.m. local time, Oliver, whose real name was Christian Klepser, and his daughters were on a single-engine aircraft that took off from an airport in Bequia, a small island in the nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Royal St. Vincent and Grenadines police force said that shortly after takeoff, the aircraft encountered unknown problems while en route to neighboring St Lucia. After that, it fell into the sea.
Once fishermen, divers, and coast guard personnel gathered at the accident scene, the four victims’ bodies from the aircraft were recovered by the military.
According to the police, medical personnel pronounced 51 year old Oliver, his daughters Annik and Madita Klepser, 10, and 12, respectively, as well as Robert Sachs, the aircraft’s owner and pilot, dead at the scene.
Oliver, his daughters, and Bequia resident Sachs’s bodies were taken by the coast guard to a mortuary nearby via boat, and autopsies were set for Friday to determine the exact cause of their deaths.
Five days before Christmas, the late actor had finished filming his final scenes on the set of an upcoming film called Forever Hold Your Peace. Following Thursday’s tragic crash, Deadline reports that the actor received an overwhelming amount of condolences.
Oliver was honored late on Thursday by Forever Hold Your Peace director Nick Lyon, who posted a photo of the late actor with him on Instagram, taken on their last day of filming.
