There is nothing on the internet about Erica Tazel’s kids as of the time of posting. Tazel received her M.F.A. from New York University’s Graduate Acting Program and her B.A. from Spelman College.
In 2000, she made her stage debut at the New York Shakespeare Festival in The Winter’s Tale. She went on to perform Juvenilia, an off-Broadway production by Playwrights Horizons, and Cymbeline with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Tazel was nominated for an L.A. Drama Critics Circle award for lead portrayal for her 2007 portrayal of Juliette in I Have Before Me, a Remarkable Document Given To Me by a Young Lady from Rwanda, at The Colony Theatre in Burbank, California. For the same performance, she was also honored with the 2007 NAACP Theatre Award for Best Lead Female.
Tazel has had a few appearances on television, including a brief cameo in the drama House of D, which was directed by David Duchovny and starred Erykah Badu, Anton Yelchin, Robin Williams, and Téa Leoni.
Tazel had recurrent roles on Jericho and Third Watch, guest leads on Without A Trace, and guest appearances on The Office, ER, Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Life, Heartland, Bones, and Firefly before landing her supporting role in Justified. In a 2001 Sex and the City episode, Tazel made her on-screen debut as a dance instructor.
