The LAPD said in a statement that the suspect, Jameelah Elena Michl, broke into the Mid-Wilshire area house at approximately six o’clock in the evening. Michl, 36, stayed at the scene and was apprehended by the LAPD as she was standing outside the residence.
Because her car was listed as evidence, Michl was taken into custody, charged with murder, and is currently being held on a $3 million bond.
