Nigerian comedian Real Warri Pikin has been accused of going under the knife to lose her ‘huge potbelly’ after she posted a video of how she lost so much weight within a short period.
The comedian has come under harsh social media criticism after posting a before and after video of herself losing so much weight and her ‘potbelly’.
“Same Person, Different Lifestyle Decisions,” she captioned the video. Her before and after videos were taken in the gym — which means she worked hard in the gym to lose weight.
But comments under her post point to one thing: she went under the knife to remove fat. Many believe she couldn’t achieve this goal within that short period.
“Weight loss surgery is life-changing. Literally! Congratulations and thank you for creating more awareness on this safe and transformative procedure,” Instagram user @getslim.ng said.
“What surgery cannot do.. does not exist…. decision I get am ..na money remain……chai u needed it… Hummmm beautiful u ma’am,” user @onovolucy commented.
“My dear you did surgery don’t lies to use,” @theresawilson1696 said.
“Tell us Wetin u go do Jo, una go just Dey hide updated anyhow,” @i_am_horlamighty said.
“U removed fat from ur stomach surgically and came here to deceive people that it’s gym. Make we hear word jor,” @official_stellyclifford opined.
Some of her followers defended her for putting in the hard work and dedication.
“Before y’all uneducated lots start spewing nonsense here, just know because someone had a weight loss surgery doesn’t mean they won’t go through gym and diet, the goal of the surgery is to reduce nutrient and fat storage while the goal of the workout and diet is to maintain it, they work hand in hand together, if not done properly the person can go back to the way they were!!!!” Instagram user @everythingmayowa said.
“The problem is most of you find it hard to educate yourselves. Y’all think a gastric sleeve is the same as liposuction or tummy tuck. You need about 12 months of putting in the hard work in the gym and a strict diet to see results from a weight loss surgery. So please don’t downplay her efforts!” @ebiombu added.
Before posting the controversial transformation video, she shared a video advising her followers to do the opposite of the popular saying, ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’.
She claimed nobody reads books anymore so people should focus on working on the cover instead.
Real Warri Pikin, 33, is married to Victor Ikechukwu Asuoha. The couple share three children.
