A 3-year-old girl shooting herself with an unattended firearm, the caller to 911 reported disturbing details that suggested the adults in the room were trying to cover up the incident.

The audio recording of the 911 call, obtained by TMZ, reveals the caller’s frantic plea for help.

The caller, not present at the location but informed about the shooting, urgently requests an ambulance while expressing concerns about the family’s actions.

She explains, “And, they are trying to hide it. That’s why they didn’t call fire rescue. I need an officer over there. I need fire rescue over there.” She goes on to describe how the individuals in the home were attempting to take the injured child to the hospital themselves, indicating that they did not immediately report the incident.

The distressing situation unfolded when the 3-year-old girl, Serenity, accessed a loaded firearm that was in plain view, resulting in a gunshot wound to her hand. Family members rushed her to the hospital, and one relative, Orlando Young, was subsequently arrested and charged with child neglect.

The caller’s shocked reaction and concerns about the family’s actions shed light on the gravity of the incident, which has raised questions about accountability and responsibility for the child’s well-being.

The identity of the caller and her relationship to the child remain undisclosed, but the desire for accountability is evident from Serenity’s mother, Warnicia Williams.

Young’s attorney declined to comment on the matter at this time.
