The president of a Detroit synagogue board was found dead Samantha Woll, was the president of the board of the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue, which is in downtown Detroit.
From 2019 to 2021 she worked as deputy district director on the political campaign of Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin. She also worked on the re-election campaign of Attorney General Dana Nessel.

Police say a motive for the killing of Samantha Woll is currently unknown. The 40-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene at around 6.30 a.m. on Saturday 2023, after she was found lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds.
While at the scene, police officers observed a trail of blood leading officers to the victim’s residence, which is where the crime is believed to have occurred,” Corporal Dan Donakowski, of the Detroit Police Department, said.
