In her new memoir, “The Woman in Me,” Britney Spears says she had an abortion in the late 1990s and early 2000s, while she was dating fellow pop star Justin Timberlake. Excerpts from the book were published in People magazine.
Spears said she wanted the child despite the pregnancy’s surprise. Spears obliged with Timberlake’s demand for an abortion, nevertheless.
Spears openly stated her affection for Timberlake and her hopes for a family, but Timberlake was unprepared for parenting.
Spears highlighted that she wouldn’t have chosen an abortion if the choice had been entirely up to her. She called it “one of the most agonizing things” she had ever gone through.
Requests for comment from Justin Timberlake’s representatives, who are now 42, have gone unanswered.
Requests for comments have not yet received a response from Justin Timberlake’s 42-year-old representatives.
During their late teens and early 20s, Spears and Timberlake enjoyed a well-publicized romance for nearly three years.
Their relationship ended abruptly in 2002 as a result of the considerable public scrutiny they endured, notably around Spears’ virginity.
The biography, which will soon be published, offers insight into Spears’ life, notably the difficulties she had during her protracted conservatorship, which was mandated by the court and concluded in November 2021.
