According to a press release from the Baltimore Police Department on Friday, a 17-year-old suspect has been detained in connection with the mass shooting that took place at Morgan State University in Baltimore on October 3 and left five people wounded.
The 17-year-old was taken into custody without a hitch on Thursday, and he is now being charged with many charges of attempted murder.
Another suspect, 18-year-old Jovan Williams, has a warrant out for his attempted murder in relation to the same shooting. According to the authorities, Williams is now at large and should be treated as armed and dangerous.
According to the authorities, security footage from the incident allowed for the identification of the gunmen.
With at least 543 such events documented this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive, the massacre, which took place at a well-attended homecoming week event, is a part of a bigger picture of mass shootings in the United States in 2023.
There have been 17 shootings at American colleges and institutions so far in 2023.
