Ghanaian crossdresser and musician DJ Azonto has fired back at critics, saying he is richer than them and their families.

The award-winning DJ has been criticised, mostly by netizens, over his crossdressing and ‘gayish antics’ when given a stage to perform or appear.

Unlike Nigerians who have somewhat accepted similar brands like Bob Risky and James Brown, Ghanaians are really finding it difficult to embrace DJ Azonto’s brand.

The recent anti-LGBTQ bill and heated arguments regarding the community in Ghana have worsened the criticisms for DJ Azonto. He gets slammed anytime he makes stage appearances or has his videos shared on the internet.

Responding to his critics, he told Zionfelix in a new interview that he isn’t bothered by critics and that he is wealthier than them and their entire families.

According to DJ Azonto, crossdressing is part of his brand and can’t change it to appease Ghanaians. He also says it’s one of the things that makes him happy.

He said he now owns a Range Rover, which he purchased from his hit song ‘Fa No Fom’.

DJ Azonto, who is a father of three, further revealed that he has rich friends and cares more about his children’s education so he won’t thnk about those who don’t add any value to his family.
