Allister John, the prime suspect in the murder case of a 35-year-old businesswoman in Sokoban, has received a 20-year jail sentence for a separate case involving theft.
He was convicted on two counts of stealing at the Asokwa Circuit Court on Friday, October 6.
According to PeaceFMOnline, the charges were related to the theft of a mobile phone valued at four thousand Ghana cedis.
The charges also include the theft of GHC 167,666 in cash from another businesswoman named Gloria Morrison, who resides in Bantama within the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly of the Ashanti region.
Recall that a few weeks ago, Allister John was arrested for stabbing his landlady to death and made away with her car and other properties. His case is still pending in court.
