It is no news that Nadia Buari and John Dumelo’s family have had an enviable bond for years — and have proven beyond all doubt that friendships can sometimes be stronger than relationships between siblings.
However, it appears the relationship between Nadia Buari and John Dumelo’s family isn’t going great.
Eyebrows have been raised following Nadia Buari’s complete absence from John Dumelo’s life since the death of his mother, Mrs. Antoinette Veronica Ama Ampoma Dumelo.
Mrs. Antoinette Dumelo, who passed away on August 6, 2023, was laid to rest on Saturday, October 7, 2023. The funeral was attended by many friends, industry folks and even political opponents of John Dumelo.
But Nadia Buari, who is known to be the best friend of John Dumelo and his wife, Gifty Mawunya Nkornu, was absent.
Some Ghanaians noticed her absence at the one-week memorial service of Dumelo’s mother on August 31. Then, she was absent again at the final funeral rite held at Holy Spirit Cathedral near East Legon Executive Men’s Club in Accra.
Some Ghanaians on social media, who may be genuinely concerned about the new developments, asked what is happening to the great bond between John Dumelo and Nadia Buari. Many believe this is even the time Dumelo really needs Nadia.
“Where is Nadia Buari,” an Instagram user commented on a photo carousel of John Dumelo grieving at his mother’s funeral.
One user commented on a video of Nana Ama McBrown at the funeral: “Asumasi nunu invite her to your program and she will come to collect all the fans on her head boi mede3 am waiting fr Nadia Buari.”
“Where is Yvonne Nelson and Nadia Buari?” another user asked.
So far, it’s unclear what is going on between John Dumelo and Nadia Buari. Nadia has already been tagged ‘fake friend’ and called out for not attending the one-week memorial.
Nadia played a huge role in John Dumelo’s marriage to Gifty, serving as her bridesmaid.
