David Keith McCallum was a Scottish actor and musician who lived from 19 September 1933 to 25 September 23. In the 1960s, he became well-known for his role as secret agent Illya Kuryakin in the hit TV series The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
He also played the characters Carter in Colditz (1972–1974) and Steel in Sapphire & Steel (1979–1982) on television. McCallum’s portrayal of NCIS medical examiner Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard in the American television series NCIS helped him regain international fame starting in 2003.
McCallum made a notable movie appearance in The Great Escape (1963).
