June 28, 2002, Marta Kostyuk, 21, was born to her parents – Talina Beiko and Oleg Kostyuk in Kyiv, Ukraine. Her mother was a famous former professional tennis player, hence, she was introduced to tennis at a very early age.
She started playing tennis at a young age at the Antey Tennis Club, on the west side of Kyiv, coached by her mother.
Marta is now a professional tennis player who has been playing professional tennis since 2018. She currently has career-high rankings of world No. 34 in singles, achieved on 19 June 2023, and world No. 27 in doubles, achieved on 8 May 2023.
