UFC sensation Kamaru Usman emphatically refutes the claims that his close friend Francis Ngannou should be discounted in his forthcoming bout against world-renowned heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury.
Usman contends that “The Predator” possesses a critical element that could tip the scales in his favor: his bone-crushing knockout power.
In a recent exchange with Usman, the former welterweight champion and future UFC Hall of Famer dismissed the prevalent belief that Ngannou is an underdog in the October 28th showdown against Tyson Fury.
While acknowledging the differing mechanics between boxing and MMA, Usman made it clear that undeniable gift that Ngannou has is raw, awe-inspiring power.
Usman passionately explains, “God has blessed him with power. If he touches your head anywhere in this radius right here,” gesturing broadly around his own head, “It does not matter.”Francis is blessed with all the trials and tribulations that he’s gone through in his life… it will be an amazing fight!”
If [Francis] touches you, you might not wake up.” He acknowledges that in a protracted 12-round boxing match, Ngannou’s experience and skill may not outshine his opponent.
