Niclas Krister Fasth is a Swedish professional golfer, who has won six times on the European Tour. He finished second in the 2001 Open Championship and fourth in the 2007 U.S. Open, and he represented Europe by winning the 2002 Ryder Cup.

At 16 years old, he was taken on at the Swedish upper optional games school in Imprint, outside Borås, to join examining with golf preparation.

The school came out on top for the Swedish School Title in 1988, with Fasth winning exclusively, and addressed Sweden at the worldwide last in Britain.

In 1991, he won the Greek Open Amateur Championship at Glyfada, Athens, with a new 72-hole tournament record of 289; the year after, he was the Swedish Junior Match-Play Champion, winning the final on the last hole at Kalmar Golf Club.

He became a professional golfer in 1993, and during his first year, he won three events on the European second-tier Challenge Tour, two of which were co-sanctioned by the Swedish Golf Tour. This earned him the distinction of being named the winner of the 1993 season of the Swedish Golf Tour Order of Merit.

He played on the European Tour frequently from 1994 to 2018, with the exception of 1999. At the 1997 Qualifying School, he was eligible to play on the PGA Tour, which is based in the United States. In 1998,

he tried his luck on both the PGA Tour and the European Tour simultaneously, but he was unsuccessful, and in 1999, he was back on the Challenge Tour. Since then, his primary focus has been playing in Europe.
