Anthony Dominick Benedetto, better known as Tony Bennett, was a well-known American singer. Tony was born on August 3, 1926, in New York City, U.S. He was among the U.S. Army infantrymen who fought in the final stages of World War II in the European Theater.
However, upon realizing his singing technique, he signed with Columbia Records and had his first number-one popular song “Because of You” in 1951. Throughout his career, he has received many awards and accolades. He has received 20 Grammy Awards, a Lifetime Achievement Award, and two Primetime Emmy Awards.
