Graphic artist and educator Shyqri Nimani was an Albanian Kosovar who lived from 6 May 1941 to 22 June 2023.
He was one of the founding members of the Graphic Design division at the Faculty of Arts, University of Pristina, as well as one of the first established professional graphic designers in Albania.

Nimani died on 22 June 2023, at the age of 82. The actual cause of his death is yet to be disclosed to the general public.
Grand Hotel logo, University of Prishtina emblem, “117” movie poster, Kosova/UNMIK first stamps, Kosova Film logo, and Jesenin book layout and art are some of his most well-known creations.
Nimani’s work extends beyond graphic design and includes haiku poetry, music, and art. He interpreted “100 Haiku” into Albanian from Japanese. Additionally, Nimani was acknowledged as the calligrapher of the 2008 Kosovo Declaration of Independence declaration.
