A politician and actress from England, Glenda May Jackson CBE lived from 9 May 1936 until 15 June 2023.
Having won two Academy Awards, three Emmy Awards, and a Tony Award, she was one of the select few performers to accomplish the Triple Crown of Acting. In 1978, Queen Elizabeth II awarded her the CBE designation.
For her performances in Women in Love (1970) and A Touch of Class (1973), she twice took home the Oscar for Best Actress. Her performance in Sunday Bloody Sunday (1971) earned her the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. The Incredible Sarah (1976), Hedda (1975), Mary, Queen of Scots (1971), and Hopscotch (1980) are a few of her other memorable performances.
