Where did Beatriz Haddad Maia go to college and high school?

Brazilian tennis player Beatriz Haddad was born on May 30, 1996. When Haddad Maia was five years old, she began playing tennis. Beatriz’s parents are Lais Scaff Haddad and Ayrton Elias Maia Filho. She hails from a family in Lebanon that enjoys playing tennis. Her grandmother Arlette Scaff Haddad and mother Lais Scaff Haddad were also accomplished tennis players in Brazil.

In the ITF junior rankings, Haddad Maia peaked at number fifteen. She was 14 years old and paired with Flávia Guimares Bueno when she won her first professional doubles title at the $10,000 tournament in Mogi das Cruzes in September 2010.  She also won in the women’s singles section in the $10,000 competition in Goiânia in 2011 for the first time as a professional.

On February 13th, 2023, she reached a career-high ranking of No. 12 in the WTA singles rankings. She was in the top 10 in doubles on May 8, 2023. Haddad Maia has won two singles matches, five doubles matches, and nine singles matches on the ITF Circuit in addition to 17 singles matches and nine doubles matches on the WTA Tour.

She advanced to the WTA 500 quarterfinals in Abu Dhabi by defeating qualifier Yulia Putintseva in a match that lasted three sets and two tiebreaks. In order to reach the semifinals, she overcame third-seeded and top-10 player Elena Rybakina, extending her six-match winning streak against top-10 opponents.
