Cynthia Weil, 82, was an American songwriter who grew up in a Sephardic Jewish family in Brooklyn. She was born to her parents on October 18, 1940, in New York, New York, United States, but sadly passed away on June 1, 2023. Her cause of death has not been revealed yet.

Weil was a great songwriter who trained as an actress and dancer, but soon demonstrated a songwriting ability that led to her collaboration with Barry Mann. She wrote many songs with her husband Barry Mann. Weil and Mann were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
