Ed Ames, born in Massachusetts as the youngest of nine children, began his musical journey as part of the immensely popular singing quartet, the Ames Brothers.
Their chart-topping success included the hit song “Rag Mop” in 1950 and a string of 49 chart hits before disbanding in 1963.
Ames then embarked on a successful solo career, enchanting audiences with unforgettable songs such as “My Cup Runneth Over,” “Who Will Answer?” and “Try to Remember.”
