Kimberly Kay Reynolds (Strawn; born August 4, 1959) is the 43rd governor of Iowa, having taken office in 2017. Reynolds was the Republican Party’s 46th lieutenant governor of Iowa from 2011 to 2017.

Reynolds was Clarke County treasurer for four terms before being elected lieutenant governor, and she then served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2011. Governor Terry Branstad resigned aside in May 2017 to become the United States’ ambassador to China. She was elected governor for the first time in 2018 and was re-elected in 2022.

According to Kevin Reynolds’ biography, Kim and Kevin Reynolds have three adult daughters: Jennifer, Nicole, and Jessica.

Kim and Kevin have 11 grandchildren because their daughters are grown and married. Kim Reynolds’ profile states that all of her children and grandchildren live in central Iowa.

Her daughter works as a teacher. Reynolds dedicated a happy birthday post to her daughter Jessica in an April 2020 post. Jessica was described as a “loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, mom and teacher!! Your dad and I love you and are so proud of you- Jess!! ❤️❤️❤️ by her.

She composed this for Teacher Appreciation Week in 2018, “I love my daughter and everything she’s doing as a teacher to help young Iowans have every opportunity available to them. Photo is of the first day of school in 2017!”
