Stephanie Melgoza, 24, danced and sang, asking ridiculous questions after killing two people in a drunken crash. Bodycam footage reveals that she was all smiles and laughed at the police despite the circumstances.
Illinois police found Melgoza uninjured, while couple Andrea Rosewicz, 43, and Paul Prowant, 55, died from the accident. Melgoza was going roughly 10 mph over the speed limit, and an open handle of vodka and cannabis was discovered in her vehicle, according to court documents. A breathalyzer test found that her blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.
Melgoza was taken to the hospital with the victims. After the officer informed her that she killed two people, she entertained herself by singing and dancing, asking whether she would miss class, and what time she could go to school.
The angered officer finally cut her off and, after a moment of silence, told the DUI driver that her behavior was “sad and pathetic.”
